Review: Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Split-End Bandage and Comparison to Beyond the Zone Split-End Mender

Hello, my sweet macaroons:

Today I will be reviewing the Garnier Fructis: Damage Eraser – Split-End Bandage. It looks like this

This is how it is described on the website:

The formula with Phyto-Keratin® complex, containing plant-based proteins and active fruit concentrate, and cupuaçu butter, with natural lipids, works in two ways to strengthen and rejuvenate hair. 90% of Hair's Strength Reconstructed from Root to Tip with this hair strengthening treatment for damaged hair. 3X the Damage Resistance.

In addition to their description, it is the how to apply the product:

Apply on towel-dried hair to fragile or damaged areas. Do not rinse out. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately. For Best results, use with the Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser System of Shampoo and Conditioner.

This is what on the site says the results will be:

Helps prevent split ends for strong, rejuvenated hair root to tip.

I have been using this product for a straight week instead of my regular leave in conditioner by Matrix. I have been applying it all over my hair once I washed it and almost every night when I do it at night I do it in sections since I have just one section of hair where my ends feel icky. I have also tried Beyond the Zone split end mender which it only worked when I had it on but when I would wash it off it would make my hair feel the same again and it did not help any when I had over processes hair and overly dry hair. I’ll be posting a little comparison below to the beyond the zone split-end mender.

This is the description from the Beyond the Zone split end mender from the sally beauty website:

·         Seals, smoothes and protects
·         Leaves hair soft and smooth
·         Repairs damaged hair
·         Minimizes split ends
·         No greasy build-up
·         Eliminates frizz

Mend your split ends with Beyond the Zone Split Mender. This leave-in conditioner soothes broken, brittle hair minimizing the appearance of split ends. Eliminating frizz without leaving a heavy, oily build-up. Beyond The Zone Split Mender leaves hair smooth and soft. Repair and protect your hair with this incredible leave-in conditioner.

In addition to their description, it is the how to apply the product:

Use on wet or dry hair. Apply to tips for split-ends or all over hair as a leave-in conditioner & protector.

This is what on the site says the results will be:

Beyond The Zone Split Mender soothes split ends for healthier looking hair (I know very lame results lol, anyways moving on.)

I feel like the Garnier split-end bandage is by far a better product than the Beyond the Zone one. To me the Garnier works really well I have oily hair, it is pretty normal not too thick nor thin, and I have medium length hair. In addition, the price for the Garnier it is a bit cheaper than the Beyond the Zone, Garnier retails for $6.29 and the Beyond the zone retails for $7.79 online price which its more at the store specially since they keep changing their prices every week or so.

So far Pros and Cons to Garnier:

Pro:                                                                                Cons:

It can be found anywhere in retail.                  Need a satin sleeping cap for nighttime.
The price is affordable
The product smells amazing.
Works super well for my hair.

I think this product is great for everyone even if you have thin hair. If you have thin hair or thinning hair you just have to avoid to put it on the roots of the hair so that way your hair won’t get weight down nor greasy looking.

As I said on the pros’ this particular product can be found anywhere that retails garnier products like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc.

Well guys in summery would I recommend the Garnier Fructis: Damage Eraser – Split-End Bandage? Yes, I would to anyone who is constantly doing their hair whether it is with heat appliances or coloring and/or bleaching.

Also a good thought would be get the Sunday paper and cut them coupons sweeties cut them coupons, not only will you save yourself a few bucks but those few bucks can go towards other type of products or makeup lol.

That’s all for today guys thanks for stopping by and if you liked what you read or it helped you decide on a product for your hair follow me so you won’t miss any other goodie reviews I have planned.
